About Me

My name is Alex. I live in Montana with my wife, daughter, and dog (Kip). We live close to the banks of the Yellowstone River, which is world famous for fly fishing, rafting, exploring, and also for the rocks and minerals that can be found along it's banks. About two years ago, without any experience, I started looking for Yellowstone River Agates. It's taken me quite a while, but over time I've gotten better at finding petrified wood, jasper, and agates of various sorts. After being inspired by other rockhounds such as Rookie Rockhounding, KatyDid, Agate Dad, and others I decided to start my own Youtube channel dedicated to my rockhounding adventures and forays into lapidary arts.

I am so thankful for the Yellowstone, it's peace, the creatures than inhabit it, as well as the gifts that it offers to people who explore it.

5/4/2020 Channel Update

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to drop a quick channel update as I have a number of different projects in the works as well, as a big milestone for the channel, and some personal/school things to balance. I was sort of hoping that the timing for 1000 subscribers would work out a little better, as I am in the midst of testing for school. For those of you who don't know, I am nearly done with my Physician Assistant training, and plan to graduate this August. Hopefully Coronavirus doesn't change that too much! Of course, school does take priority of YouTube and Rockhounding (Sad, I know), so a few of the projects that you might be waiting for will likely be just a little delayed. Additionally, next week (5/10-5/16) I'll be away for some much needed family vacation time. However, you can still count on at least one video during this time period.
